DOCUMENT #1025 The Low Memory Light (Note: Management Access Security will be needed for all of the procedures in this document. To place the call accounting in Management Access mode press the MANAGEMENT ACCESS Key followed by the code number) There are basically 2 reasons for the low memory light to be on. 1) During normal operation as the call accounting system is processing and storing calls if the available number of call record storage space drops below 500 the system displays a RED low memory light if 0 call record memory, it will print "can not store this call". The solution is to clear the memory by making sure all guests not in house are checked out on the system (guests in house will print on a Current Call Report) then doing an extension audit report. This report will only print and erase CHECKED OUT CALLS. If a printed copy of the audit report is not necessary, the call record memory may be cleared by doing a Program #1739 (Call record master clear) and pressing ENTER. 2) The call accounting system may have experienced a power surge.The surge in turn could have caused a glitch in system memory and cause the low memory light to go on even if the system memory is not full. Press the memory key this preforms a memory check. If an error messages print there is a glitch, to remove it and turn off the low memory light do a Program #1739 (master clear). Then press the memory key again if no errors print the memory light should change from RED to Green. If you still get errors printing after a Program #1739 go into management access Print a Program #10,#20,#32. Then re-initialze the sysetem. Program #248 Press ENTER Press "$" sign located in the TELEPHONE with-in the TEL Electronics LOGO on the upper right side of the keypad. The low memory light should go off.
