DOCUMENT #1065 ADDING A NEW EXCHANGE ON SITE (Note: Management Access Security will be needed for all of the procedures in this document. To place the call accounting in Management Access mode press the MANAGEMENT ACCESS Key followed by the code number) As new exchanges are added in your area it may become necessary to cross reference them to existing exchanges so the call accounting system will know how to price them correctly. Using Program #23 you can cross reference up to 25 new exchanges. Follow these steps exactly; Go into Management Access. Press Program 23 and ENTER. The Display will show; "FROM" Put in the new three digit exchange number. Press ENTER. The Display will show; "TO" Put in an existing exchange number that you want the new exchange to price like. Repeat this procedure "FROM"---"TO" until you have completed all needed cross referenceing up to 25 new exchange numbers. Press ENTER or CANCEL one more time to exit Program #23 Print a Program #20 immediately. Examine the print out to make sure that the newly programmed cross referenced exchanges are displayed correctly. They will look like this; 667 -> 898 256 -> 898 In this example prefix 667 and 256 will price the same as exchange 898. In most programing cases the new exchange should be billing as local. A good rule of thumb is to cross-reference the new exchange to your home exchange. In this example that would be 898.
